LIGHTer Academy & LIGHTer PhD Network Seminar

Start: 27 Apr 2022, 12:00

End: 27 Apr 2022, 13:00

Type: Digital Seminar

This seminar is held by two outstanding speakers: a LIGHTer PhD Network Alumni and an industry researcher from LIGHTer Academy

Dr.  Mathilda Karlsson Hagnell, RISE, (LIGHTer PhD Network alumni): Increasing circularity through predictive lifecycle costing (PLCC) in different material applications
Abstract: Current sustainability and societal demands are pushing the transition from linear to circular business models. To introduce circular business models and circular economy (CE) approaches, underlining cost challenges need to be addressed. To address these cost challenges, predictive lifecycle cost modelling can be used. This presentation highlights different cost challenges for HSS, aluminum and FRP and discuss how predictive lifecycle cost modelling can be used towards assessing cost implications of different CE-approaches.

Prarthanaa Khokar, Fureho, (industry researcher affiliated to LIGHTer Academy): Novel Tailored 3D Pre-forms for Composites
Abstract: Fureho is a materials startup incubating the European Space Agency’s Business Incubation Centre in Sweden. Fureho will present their 3D pre-forming capabilities for tailored in-plane and out-of-plane thermal conductance and mechanical performance of reinforcements for composites.
